This. This so much. Most of them however are not of the self loathing type who try to be monks or whatever, and so join pro-gay churches of which there are a growing number.

I'm sure there are tons of gay Christians, but it makes about the same amount of sense as a woman being a Christian or republican or a black person joining the KKK, although Clayton Bigsby was a pretty cool chap.

Christianity was actually much more popular among women than men, especially in its infancy.
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.

Sure you've got little ones who have been indoctrinated who grow up to be gay and lez. Some enjoy the social side of religion, others do not.
Some become atheist for all the wrong reasons.
Just like many atheists who stopped believing in god because because their god hurt them in some way! The world is full of liquorice allsorts!
