Obama reiterates: "I believe in God"
July 30, 2014 at 6:13 pm

Dashing the hopes and convictions of secularists and progressives everywhere, Obama once again reiterates that he is not one of us.

"During his speech in Kansas City, Missouri Wednesday, President Barack Obama was once again confronted by some good, old-fashioned heckling. In the video of the event that streamed on the White House website, it was a bit hard to hear what the woman was screaming, but it appeared to be something along the lines of “Jesus is the Lord of Israel.”
“I’m sorry, what are you hollering about?” the president said casually, letting the heckler repeat their message for the crowd. “I believe in God,” he said in response. “Thanks for the prayer. Amen. Thank you.”'

I'm actually glad.
His approval rating is so low, that if he came out as an atheist, he would set back the possibility of an atheist being elected by decades. It would be just one more thing the idiots could blame their disapproval on.
You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.

Considering many Americans hate atheists even if Obama was one of us it would be better to just pretend to be a Christian protestant.

Did anyone actually think he was an atheist anyway?

Unsurprising. Politicians and controversial stands don't get along.

Dawkins said that there are 535 members of congress and one is officially an atheist, which is statistically impossible.
That just shows how many politicians are dishonest. Surprise, surprise.
It's all about the vote.

Of course Obama believes in god.
The question ought to be,"Which one?"
A couple of his quotes reveal his stance:
America is not a Christian nation.
Islam has always been a part of America.
