Sorry Sae but I was talking about " shared responsibility " as a direct response to what Dotard was bringing to the table. He set scenarios where the criminal act was aided and abetted by the victim.
An exclusive 2-way street if that is how you like to understand it.
As for the the great apple crime, I was understanding your scenario that the man wasn't in work.
Also, begging is sadly very common throughout the major cities of the uk and I assume somebody really desperate could beg enough for a few apples where you live.
It goes without saying that of course I agree that it is outrageous that in the 21st century anybody should have to steal food to exist.
A man is born to a virgin mother, lives, dies, comes alive again and then disappears into the clouds to become his Dad. How likely is that?

Hmm... it certainly seems more fair to note the victim's responsibility in the matter... I would reiterate points that Dotard and Syna made then
Quote:As for the the great apple crime, I was understanding your scenario that the man wasn't in work.
With unemployment as it is, that too is a possibility (that he can be trying desperately to find work, but be unable to). But perhaps he is bussed in to a slaughterhouse illegally to be paid less than minimum wage... or perhaps minimum wage is too low to support his family... or perhaps he has a good paying job, but is neck-deep in credit card debt. I can see all of these creating a situation where a person might have to steal food (or go hungry). :S

Actually... I don't think you really can beg where I live (I don't live in a city). Anchorage certainly... but I've actually rarely see a beggar in Soldotna, Kenai, Ninilchik, or Kasilof. Last beggars I saw was last month, when a man, woman, and young daughter had a sign asking for something (help?) and were standing next to the road leading into Fred Meyer. I've yet to see anyone but myself give money to beggars, but I suppose that it must be much easier to do in big cities? :S

Indeed :S

Machoism?

Actually pan handling is quite a lucrative job, especially in tourist towns like mine. When I was younger I'd get 30-80 bucks a day for only a few hours work. We'd also intentionally blend in with people truly in need from a physical standpoint, so it'd be impossible to distinguish true need from scamming. The key is usually in the smell.

If you can get that much by begging... why give it up?

DAMNIT! I really hate it when a plan does not come together.....
Plan was;
Sae would respond with "Are you admitting I am a female?"
I would respond "Yes"
Then follow with this tiny diatribe;
Eilonny Wrote:And the only people who are blaming women for their rape in this thread are men. Hm, I wonder why that is.
Saerules posts on this matter qualify as a female perspective.

Could be, yes. It's a logical possibility.
But then again, so is the existance of Gods.

Or are you implying that your relation with women is as troublesome as your relation with gods?

@Sae- see the response below

Actually, yes I use my personal life experiences in my classroom. I was a kid and impetuous. I thought I knew everything, could control everything, and there weren't any consequences for hurting others. I didn't use people in need for my own gain, I didn't discriminate I used everyone. Luckily I grew out of that arrogance and better defined my morals. It was a learning experience, and a good social experiment, but I don't use people anymore. So we went from objectifying women, to my past, and you're inferring an attack on my religion now... hmmm never saw that coming.
