The Melancholy Universe

The Melancholy Universe
Sometimes in the midst of a depressive state I come up with some decent poetry. I like to share this with you all. The quality is meh, but who knows.

Sometimes the universe has other ideas.
In some way, the stars of people might cross but their destinations in the cosmos could be unknown.
So why in this permanent unknown we strive to find the answer.
Do we delude ourselves into knowing that something feels right therefore it must be so?
Perhaps it would be best to succumb to the laws that govern our universe and let things flow the way they are meant to.
What painful lesson this is to learn to let go, when the universe is full of distant light blocked by nearly eternal darkness.
With so much beacons of hope, how can one hold so much despair.
In the universe there is life and destruction, contradictions that warp even time.
So how can we being face with infinite uncertainty and maintain hope.
Or is it the pursuit of hope enough?
These things I do not understand, and my questions are as vast as the universe.
So how can we make any definite promises, if our own destinations are not definitive.

I declare this to now be a depressing poetry thread! Here is my contribution:

Have you ever considered
After taking the person apart
That the broken pieces in isolation tagged
Do, as they would do
In the company of their peers?

Interesting question, I often wonder is most of our experiences are merely illusionary. Mainly how can the brain act so depressed regardless of ones position.

Irrespective of whether our experiences are real or illusionary, they "feel" the same.
We are emotional social animals and having swinging emotions is " normal".

The people we spend most of our time with are, in my experience, the biggest factor in determining our "happiness" level.
No God, No fear.
Know God, Know fear.
