are you left,right or centre?

I am interested to learn where you all stand on the political spectrum.
I am a socialist with marxist tendencies. I cannot accept capitalism as the best option for all of us on the planet.
What say you all?

Oh. Well I certainly don't find anything the conservatives say to be impressive. Saying that, not many politicians appeal to me in general. Obviously I'm going to be more "left" than anything else, as you'd probably expect most none-wingnuts to be. I'm not one for wars, security, religious politics or nationalism, more for freedom, an open mind and love for other people. Probably swaying towards anarchism and pacifism in that sense, however that obviously wouldn't be feesable right now. This is quite a vague question for such an interesting topic. I'd like to discuss these things a little deeper some time. Makes a change from slapping myself in the face over certain comments made by our resident nutjobs.

I am more left...I'm not a conservative! But perhaps I'm not left or right. Or up and down OR back and forth lol. Perhaps I'm the 11th dimension in this respect...
I think ,its either that, or basically - I have no f*cking Idea!
I am more left though!!

I oppose capitalism too, although I could support a form capitalism in which is based on a labour theory of value.
Social anarchism makes a lot of sense, but I really can't see that emerging from the "take as much as you can, give as little" attitude I see in many people

I equate right-wing to accepting capitalism, left-wing to replacing it with socialism.

LukeMC, you are right in your observation about politicians, universally odious with very few exceptions.
Reading up on politics can be quite daunting....as an example, Marx is fascinating, but quite difficult.
If you are inerested, can I simply recommend starting with " The Ragged Trousered Philanthropists " by Robert Tressell. It is widely accepted as being a socialist classic. Its genius is that it is a human, compelling story about the lives of ordinary folk suffering under the capitalist order of society in the early 20th century. It has a reputation of changing peoples' lives!

I'd like to register my complaints over the mis-leading thread title.
First off I usually dont respond to people who spell center as centre, however I thought this was a thread about which side one hangs their do-wa-diddly-do.
And I'm quite disappointed it was not.
I used to tell a lot of religious jokes. Not any more, I'm a registered sects offender.
