Sex Geckos die in Orbit on Russian Space Project

RE: Sex Geckos die in Orbit on Russian Space Project
I see no reason why sex would be harder in space than on earth, at least for humans. In zero G, geckos and other animals might have a tougher time getting any purchase to make their way to their prospective mates. But humans in a space capsule with hand holds and other hold fasts designed to enable humans to get around in zero G should have no problems.

Here's a brief intro to why sex in space would be much harder, if not impossible.

Here's the basic thing: Newton's Third Law states that "For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction." In space, if you're floating in zero gravity and you try to get together long enough to have sex, the actions that sex requires would, in fact, strive to keep our young interstellar lovers apart during the deed.

Some bungee cord would seem to go a long way to solving the problem, on earth it is kinky, in space it is necessity.

If I am in space, and there is a naked barbarella within reach, I find it implausible that any difficulties with low gravity could successfully thwart a focused, driven, goal oriented individual like me.

They're looking into it. And, of course, when they've mastered sex, they're going to have to worry about reproduction; keeping embryos and fetuses stable in both zero-g and Earth/Lunar Gravity.

Wouldn't reduced danger of conception increase the attractions of sex?

Rope and leverage. Problem solved.

Too bad. It sounds from the ground like a wonderful way to have sex with no one on the bottom.
