First attempt: 58 WPM and one mistake I didn't think would matter.... but it did count. also, a lot of backspacing to keep the mistake count low...
Second attempt: 59 WPM, no mistakes and less backspacing, but I sensed longer words
Now in portuguese...
First attempt: 53 WPM, one mistake... I lost too much time with that mistake as I didn't notice it but the red made me look and then I missed a space and typed the next word, another mistake... but backspaced a bit to improve that... I also noticed that it's brazilian portuguese... they had the word "esporte" which doesn't exist in portuguese... should be "desporto".
Second attempt: 64 WPM, no mistakes and still a bit of backspacing.
My impression: This test isn't representative of real speed as you can become faster if you're writing stuff that makes sense.

I can type 50 by minute - But english is only my first language. I dislike the fact that I'm merely copying words, if I was writing a text out of my mind, I'd probably score higher. In portuguese I can type 65/70 words per minute

"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

"That's disgusting. There were clean athletes out there that have had their whole careers ruined by people like Lance Armstrong who just bended thoughts to fit their circumstances. He didn't look up cheating because he wanted to stop, he wanted to justify what he was doing and to keep that continuing on." - Nicole Cooke
