If I were doing a 'You might be an Islamophobe bit, the questions would go along these lines:

If you think the next war on Muslim extremists can be shortened to a week by dipping our bullets in pig blood and advertising it.

This one sounds like a good idea - Why is it an indication of Islamophobia instead of Muslim's swinophopia?

It's a ridiculous overestimation of Muslim 'swinophobia'. It portrays Muslims as so fanatical and backwards that simply thrusting a pig in their direction is sufficient to 'ward them off'. An Imam would give some kind of dispensation and use it to drum up more hate. It's certainly failed spectacularly when similar means are used to attempt mosques from being opened.

Hmm.... would I rather live next to a pig sty or a mosque? Tough question. I imagine the pigs are quieter. The don't do all that howling five times a day.

I can specifically relate to that. In my last apartment, I used to live near not 1 but 2 mosques, both around 300 m in each direction. And every morning at 5 - and I mean every-fucking-goddamn-morning - both of them would start blaring "Allah-hu-Akbar" on their speakers at top volume, as if competing to see who was the loudest in their devotion.

I'd much rather live downwind the pig-sty. Atleast in that case I can spray air-freshner and close my windows.

The funny thing about liberals defending Islam is that these people, speaking generally of course, love to use equally indignant language when criticizing "Western" religions, as evidenced by their repeated deflection that "the Bible contains horrible ideas too."

I have to give credit to the Islamic fundamentalists for managing to convince a lot of people, that criticism of Islam equals something equivilent to racism.

I am going to give an example of this craziness in recent proposals here in Australia to ban the public wearing of the burka or niqab. There are very good reasons for initating this ban. However critics are jumping over and down saying it is Islamicphobic and etc.

It's truly amazing. You point out to people some of the very noxious ideas perpetuated in the Qur'an and the hadith and they reply, "But you're generalizing about all Muslims."

Bitch please. The only Muslims I'm generalizing about are adherents and supporters of homophobic, sexist, and violent ideas as explicitly contained in the texts of the Prophet--considered divine and infallible, and as such, the foundation and pinnacle of a rational ethic. Even if these people are not themselves dangerous, they're providing the wellspring for such ideologies to arise.

If you're a Muslim who can admit that some of your religion's holy texts are vile and should be viewed as restricted to the 7th-century, where such barbarism should have remained, all the power to you.

To them, any evil is ok as long as the person doing it is oppressed and they see Muslims as oppressed. And sometimes it's true, especially here in the US where political figures win popularity by going on national television and calling Muslims a bunch of camel fucking crackpots and whether or not you can build a mosque is actually considered a legal question.

Funny thing about religions, when in the minority they always teach peace and love, whilst claiming to be oppressed. Then when they become the majority the first thing they do is oppress or outright kill their competition, and then precede with their own bigoted agenda.
