90-year-old Florida man faces 60 days in jail for feeding the homeless

“As contemplated on Sunday, I was arrested for feeding the homeless and received a citation to appear in court,” Abbott explained on Facebook. “However, only 4 people were fed before an officer told me to, ‘Drop that plate immediately!’ As though it were a weapon I was holding, and to go with him to the police car.

He's lucky the cop didn't feel threatened by the food and shoot him.

West Virginia man calls 911 for chest pains, and deputy shoves him to ground

Maynard said one of the deputies swore at him and threatened to kill him if he called 911 again.

Surveillance video from a neighbor’s home shows one of the deputies approach Maynard and shove him hard in the chest, knocking him flat on his back.

Florida cop breaks 14-year-old girl’s arm during warrantless cell phone search

The girl’s father provided X-rays to blogger Davy V. showing multiple breaks in her arm.

The father said that Nash had only gone to the school because he had filed a police report about his daughter being bullied days earlier, and that his daughter had been uncooperative with the officer because she was on the phone with her mother when her arm was broken.

“We initiated a police report, and [the police] ended up causing more harm than anyone,” he pointed out.

Nine newly sworn-in officers with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey managed to make it just hours into their careers before dooming said careers. All got fired yesterday for a taking part in a too-rowdy graduation party in a Hoboken bar, reports the Star-Ledger. When bouncers tried to calm things down, the officers—some clad in their uniforms—reportedly pulled their badges and said they could do what they like now that they were sworn officers. They kept it up even when Hoboken cops arrived, followed by Port Authority officials.

After getting out of jail, Hunt complained that Lightner had tossed his backpack off the bridge, including a laptop with the only photos he owned of his dead wife.

The Charleston Police Department eventually agreed to an undisclosed settlement with Hunt after the dive team recovered his belongings.

A Chandler police sergeant lost her rank, and nearly lost her job, when she ordered her subordinates to single out Native American shoplifting suspects for being booked into jail, rather than being cited and released with a ticket, according to an internal-affairs investigation.

In an unusual move, Sgt. Sue Freeman was demoted to officer and agreed to leave the department by Dec. 31, 2015, or whenever she reaches her 20 years of service to qualify for her pension, according to the report. The demotion was in lieu of dismissal after the investigation sustained charges of conduct unbecoming an officer.

Freeman's patrol officers interpreted her order as representing biased policing, singling out Native Americans for being booked, rather than a simple citation, according to the investigation, obtained by The Arizona Republic under the Arizona Public Records Law.

Well, Chandler is a nice white suburb and they don't want to no stinking in'juns there anyway. Apparently, in Chandler, racial profiling gets you a sweetheart deal.
