This is why I can't stand cops. They think they can do whatever the fuck they want and use this drug shit as carte blanche.

I'm actually a victim of a bad cop. Spent a night in jail because of him and his controlling and perverted ways.

Justice came when he was fired and the town finally added cameras to the cop cars. Oh, and the smile from the judge when he told me he was dismissing the case. Seriously? Assault on a police officer? He was easily 300 LBs to my 120... stuck his hands down my pants (felt around down there a little while I was screaming and crying too) and everything.

Cops scare me.

A former St. Louis Police officer revealed over the weekend that he discovered that many officers were “deeply racist” after joining the force.

In a column for The Washington Post, NAACP Ethic Project head Redditt Hudson explained that he joined the St. Louis Police Department in 1994 because he wanted to help his community, but he soon learned “just how racist and violent the police are.”

And, the root of the problem.

According to Hudson, officers know that they will only face friendly investigations at worst if they are accused of misconduct.

“My colleagues would laughingly refer to this as a free vacation. It isn’t a punishment. And excessive force is almost always deemed acceptable in our courts and among our grand juries,” he observed. “Prosecutors are tight with law enforcement, and share the same values and ideas.”

Hudson argued that the solution was to appoint a special prosecutor in cases of excessive force, and to back that up with robust independent oversight.

I have to share the road with Rikers employees every morning. I pass through the intersection that leads to the Rikers bridge. One corner of the intersection is adorned with a fifteen foot billboard proudly exclaiming "New York's Boldest". Their daily disregard for traffic law (running red lights, driving in non-existent lanes, illegal turns right across straight through traffic, etc.) makes any report of negligence and abuse plausible.

Chicago city council members have proposed a ban on the use of chokeholds by police officers working within city limits in an expansive proposal coming in the wake of the chokehold death of an unarmed black man being arrested in New York.

It's illegal in NY too and when a grand jury saw a tape of some cop using one to kill a guy they still didn't see anything wrong.

Sacramento sheriff’s deputy caught on video beating man with his flashlight

Authorities in Sacramento County are investigating a local sheriff’s deputy after he was caught on video beating a man with his flashlight on Tuesday after Tasing him and putting him on the ground, KCRA-TV reported.

“I think [the deputy] should get fired,” said the man who filmed the incident, Michael White. “I think he should go to jail. I don’t think administrative leave is enough.”

White’s footage shows the unidentified deputy putting his foot on 51-year-old John Madison Reyes’ head before striking him in the back with his flashlight. The deputy can also be seen repeatedly hitting Reyes in the legs while Reyes is laying on the ground. The footage also shows the deputy ordering Reyes to turn onto his stomach while his knee is on Reyes’ head.

And the old, "if only he did what the fucking cop said, we wouldn't have had to beat the shit out him," excuse is trotted out.
