you are your own system (your body)...while the environment around you is another and the object you touch is yet another.

When you touch that object, you are changing your entropy when you made contact.

Of course your body is warm and works at a certain body temp and any deviation from it will be felt by your nerves in your fingers, because they operate at an optimal 36.X degrees Celsius or so.

So is entropy the transfer of heat from my body to the object I touch?
Or is it a measure of heat that remains within my body after I touch the object?

all your doing is passing heat from yourself to a object.

The molecules of an object (A) vibrate generating infrared radiation. If another object (B) with higher vibrations (therefore generating more infrared radiation) is compared, object (A) is cold relative to object (B), whereas Object (B) is warm relative to object (A). The infrared radiation will be exchanged between the two toward equilibrium until they are the same temperature. If they touch, the vibrations will also exchange toward equilibrium, until they are the same temperature.

High school physics for most or in my case, middle school (5-8) physics.

God created everything, he decided that evil exists, however you define it. He didn't have to. If he did have to, he's not as powerful as people seem to think.

I think avoiding very simple questions is a sign you are working towards a rationalisation or logical fallacy. Not trying to be mean, but that is my experience almost all the time when this happens.

It does clear up the definition of entropy, but now how does COLD = Entropy?
So in keeping with the concept of thermal energy, it sounds like Entropy is that point where a system reaches a thermal equilibrium at which it ceases to release or give up anymore of its thermal energy (heat), right?
