Tyrion is the most sympathetically written character in Game of Thrones.
An ugly but intelligent misfit with a heart of gold.
By the way has anyone seen George R R Martin.

Arya Stark is my favorite. And GRRM's favorite. She's the only character that he was vowed to never kill off. I do love the conniving of Littlefinger and the humor and wit of Tyrion.

If you haven't already read it, here's an excerpt from "The Winds of Winter," the viewpoint is a "new" character named "Mercy."

"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

In this regard, I find myself in a distinct minority: My favorite character has always been Jaime Lannister. Before his <spoiler> brought about by <spoiler> his <spoiler>, I felt that his swashbuckling ways did the series good. Maybe it was an anti-Ned reaction; I was always frustrated with him. But now that Jaime seems to be growing as a character, I downright love him and I am scared to death of what <spoiler> is going to do to him. I am optimistic that Jaime and <spoiler> can get out of it, but it's going to require <spoiler> to make a very difficult decision. However, given the tendency of characters to, you know, die, Jaime, <spoiler>, and <spoiler> will probably ALL end up dead in the most tragic way possible.

Don't worry, my friend.  If this be the end, then so shall it be.

This. The goddamn Red Wedding pissed me off.

I will say this for Jaime - he's not nearly the scumbag that I originally thought he was. He's actually growing on me - like a fungus.

I'll just leave these here and let you decide if I'm a fan ;-)

Mark Addy (Robert Baratheon)

Burn Gorman (Karl Tanner)

Ian McElhinney (Barristan Selmy)

Ellie Kendrick (Meera Reed)

Kerry Ingram (Shireen Baratheon)

Aimee Richardson (Myrcella Baratheon)

As for my favourite character I'd have to say Aryan Stark based on what's probably going to be in the next series.

Cool pics! I'm a huge Game of Thrones nerd. You need to read the books! Twice at least. It's one of the rare books that is better the second time when you come into the story already knowing a little about the characters and the background of the whole story.

My favorite character is Stannis.

Thanks, I love meeting the actors and they're all really nice in person. I'm hoping to meet a few more next year at the London Comic Con (Anyone for a mini AF meet up?). I've read all the books and am eagerly awaiting the next!
