For those of you that have read the books, here is a pretty awesome excerpt from Winds of Winter. It really doesn't contain spoilers other than the location of an important character or two. It's the POV of Mercy, someone new?
Also, if you just cannot wait, there are a lot of excerpts available:

Also:
If you'd like a really succinct detailed summation of the differences between the books and the show, here is a really good resource.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

I'm currently reading The Hedge Knight from the tales of Dunc and Egg series which is set about 100 yrs before the GOT books and chronicles the story of King Aegon and Sir Duncan the tall. So far pretty good.

Umm... Isn't this image wrong is a couple places???
It doesn't indicate that Daenerys and Drogo were married and says that Joffery, Myrcella and Tommen are the children of Cersei and Robert, not Cersei and Jaime.

Yeah there are a few missteps, but it might be set up to be as least spoilery as possible. It's also missing a few siblings here and there.

Officially, they're Cersei and Robert's kids... that's why Jof gets to be king and... Tommen is next in line.
Renly and Stannis are traitors as they want to usurp the throne.
And Daenerys is not married to Drogo anymore... nor does she bear any children by him... so... no biggie.
