Male but not a man: Well, we could have fish if you want that, or if you don't want to cook we could order a pizza, or maybe a steak...what do you think? Hell, if the only thing he said was "maybe a steak" you would realize he wasn't a man.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

Actually I think one of the signs of a man is to occasionally make dinner for his partner or help out making dinner.
I wouldn't be a kitchen slave to any man.

I think the sign of an evolved human being is to be able to offer options to their partner in order to create compromise, not just make a decision based on their own selfish decisions.

Quite well, when both parties act in accordance with compromise.

Working out perfectly for me.
I'm a happy, single woman whose last relationship was with someone who is in the same profession as me. Both of us are type A personalities and we both tried to be the "dominant". We reached a compromise that worked out perfectly for us both.
Relationships are, or should be, a partnership. Not a master, slave relationship, as far as I'm concerned.

Worked out fine. We're still friends and we didn't want to carry on a long distance relationship when I took up a job in NZ. He's still in Melbourne.
I notice you immediately homed in on that one aspect of what I said and ignored the rest.
Why is that?
