You'd be surprised, but I'm a Bahraini dude (31) married to a Bahraini dudette (25), and both of us are staunch atheists. There are a bunch of us, we definitely aren't alone. I don't have a shortage of like-minded friends. Every workplace of mine know I deride all faiths alike, they even see me have lunch in Ramadan. I call it the Holy Ramadan Lunch Buffet.
Our friends are just as aware of our convictions. Families aren't though.
And just like "Bahraini", there was a time when the only atheist I ever met was my own reflection.
So yeah, life's good for the most part.

any Arab Atheists here?

This is all encouraging reading. I've travelled around the region, Egypt, Libya, Algeria, Iran, UAE, Oman but never really engaged in the topic of religion with anyone as I was under the impression that there were very few atheists around. I certainly didn't fancy discussing whether Allah exists or not anyway for risk of offending someone.
I remember one chap didn't take kindly at all to me smoking about 10m away from him during ramadan amd my perception was of a vast majority carrying out daily prayer so my interactions were all based around carefully avoiding any talk of god.
Anyway, more power to you all and I would also be interested in a muslim-ex muslim debate.

Speak Merkin! Is what a bigot would say.
Nice to see some heathens from that part of the world.
