Of course, you don't have to dislike gays at all whether you're gay or not. You don't have to like them either. As with everyone else.

Please tell me what atheist means

But I have already said that I don't dislike gay people.I said that I dislike homosexuality.
Fair enough - but what do you mean by that? Merely that you find the idea of you being gay 'disgusting' (as I believe you have said that's how you find homosexuality to be) because you're not? Or do you also find it repulsive that others are gay but you have nothing against them personally?

I just don't think he agrees with their sexual orientation but as a person he doesn't mind that they are gay.

'Doesn't agree' as in the Bible says it is 'wrong'?
Personally disliking it in the sense of 'the thought of it' because you're not gay, and 'not agreeing with it' are of course, different things. Do you dislike gays, or you just don't understand their tastes? They wear white after Labor Day. That does it for me, personally.
Just to point out something Mr Olefemi, atheism has nothing to do with homossexuality, its possible to have homophobic atheists. Not calling you homophobic either, just trying to find out your reasons. But I have to say Mr Olefemi, you have wandered into rash terrain, deep into atheist territory, a bit like a wildebeast into the lions den. Thread lightly! (Just kidding )
Atheism has absolutely nothing to do with homosexuality, yes. But religions such as Christianity are responsible for a lot of beliefs that homosexuality is 'bad'. It's not just religiously motivated of course, but some/a lot of it is.
It is a question of personal preference. What I think of homosexuality is this. I think that it is unnatural, the practise of it is disgusting to me, and I don't understand how a man would even want to lie with another man. These are my personal thoughts on it.That doesn't mean that those who are gay are bad people, but I disagree with they do and I disagree with their preferences.
This doesn't give me the right to tell them not to do it, and it is none of my business anyway, but I am entitled to a personal opinion on it.I find the idea of me being gay very inappropriate to me but if it is appropriate to others that is fine.I don't live my life that way because that is not me. Somehow this is being confused with being homophobic, but it is only normal for a straight person to say that the gay lifestyle is not for them and the reasons why. I disapprove of the gay lifestyle but that only means that I disapprove of it as my lifestyle. When I see others who are gay it makes me wonder why they are that way but it does not make me think less of them.Strange certainly, and confusing to me, but that's their way of life.I don't like homosexuality and if I liked it that would make me gay.It doesn't suit me though. I find gay people funny and interesting and colourful and if being gay makes them like that then maybe it is good for them to be gay. But I will say this. For some reaso I find gay men nice and funny to talk to but lesbians in my experience seem aggressive and I don't like that.I don't know why that is.
