Alex, just out of curiosity... are you by any chance familiar with Cattle Decapitation?
I disagree with the notion that classical is all slow

Well it's not all slow... but I think we have different definitions of slow (to me it's anything below 120 BPM. I need to see a cardiologist about that)

In celebration of Valentine's, this was referred to as a sub genre of Funk called Go-Go.. iirc. Either way, I like it, I will post more Go-Go, I am looking for something in particular I came across recently.

I have a friend from school that used to make music based on whatever we had done in gaming sessions over the week. It was pretty funny to hear each weeks new song.

I'm a bit mixed as to how I feel about all these subgenres. Sometimes it just seems to reduce to hipster lingo. I don't try to be a hipster. I like what I like, without apology. My main genres are old jazz (mostly hard bop), indie (indie rock, shoegaze, indie pop, etc---at least that's what terms I've heard), and drone, which is a subset of ambient.

Of course it's a bit pretentious
Here's one thing I think could be amazing but hasn't been sufficiently developed yet - flamenco metal.

In the jazz category, this man was the greatest drummer who ever lived.
Fuck that, greatest drummer who ever lived, period:
