Do you mean someone posted a very clever and beautifully constructed argument and mocked it? That's like burning an album from The Beatles, you just don't do that Shock
Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster. And if you gaze long enough into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you

Indeed, but I don't think Hitler was very Christian, he probably did what was best for the masses... Our friend Mussolini was an atheist since he was a kid but he made good use of Catholicism. What I am saying is that even if Hitler based himself wrongly on Darwin to advocate racial purity and eugenics that doesn't (1)make evolution false (2) and creationism true. An idea can be very bad and still be the truth.

I can't know for sure how religious Hitler was, but he sure did have some misconceptions about race and genetics, he believed in creating the super-human Nietzsche theorized but misunderstood the former's idea completely - I don't know if Nietzsche was racist but he didn't explicitly advocate eugenics

In the case of science, there's many bad things that are truth - For example, cancer is a terrible thing but it exists, saying "evolution is bad because it leads to social darwinism" is the same thing as saying "cancer sucks because it can get you killed"

My point was not that Hitler was a Christian -- by 1941, I doubt that very much.

My point was that no matter what he believed, the largest Christian denomination approved of his actions. The Vatican signed an accord with Hitler agreeing to stay out of German business in 1934, (iirc), and even in wartime, they were very happy to laud the NaZi successes.

I have nothing to say about NaZiism's misunderstanding of evolution by natural selection; that sort of Himmlerian stupidity needs no criticism from me.

He had plan he followed the bible did what he thought what was good for his people and wanted to kill the jews and also there is other reasons behind it being that ww1 Germany's economy turned to shit. So as many people do not want Hitler and christianity be put into the same sentence yes he was a christian and he did rule with christian morals after all.

This is factually incorrect. Learn about the subject before you opine on it.

I followed the link to this rather stupid article. My guess is that these points have been used very successfully against the author.

These are 11 things that the author considers it stupid for atheists to say

1) That Jesus never existed.
2) That it doesn’t matter how many independent source we have on Jesus:

3) That the burden of proof is never on them:

4) That the Bible is not historical:

5) That atheism is not a belief:

6) You can’t prove that something doesn’t exist.
7) That there is no purpose to life, then they contradict themselves:

8) That science disproves miracles:

9) That science is the only way to truth:

10) That science disproves God:

11) Stephen Hawking on the universe:

Some of those things would be stupid things to say, at least with an air of certainty. I wouldn't expect your average atheist to say those stupid ones, though. I'm sure they've thoroughly researched us at the Freedom From Reality centre.
