That sucks. It's not something serious, I hope?

No, thanks, shoulda said it, just a routine!

Speaking of which, why am I not sleeping at 8 AM on a Saturday?

It's currently 9am here. (Eastern United States). As for why I'm awake... because there are currently two children awake in the house. I love weekends here. Three of the kids are here and the house is full Smile

8am is considered sleeping in late because I normally get up at 3:30am. Anyway, now that I am up ... I guess I can start post whoring now. Big Grin

I never use the new posts button, I always use the today's posts. Just curious as to whether I'm in the minority or not, but I never have the problem the OP mentions.

Am I the only one who goes into each individual forum section? I guess using the "today's posts" link would be better.

I used to do that Judi, but now I only ever use "today's posts", or "my posts" if I want to go back further in time. I find it's much quicker Smile

Of course, this strategy works best if you're on the forum every day or else you may miss things. In that case "new posts" can help see what you may have missed!

I'm on here all the time. It's amazing how finding these forums has reduced my time on Facebook by 90%.

RE: Must be that time of night
'Tis now the very witching time of night,
When churchyards yawn and hell itself breathes out
Contagion to this world: now could I drink hot blood,
And do such bitter business as the day
Would quake to look on. Soft! now to my mother.
O heart, lose not thy nature; let not ever
The soul of Nero enter this firm bosom:
Let me be cruel, not unnatural:
I will speak daggers to her, but use none;
My tongue and soul in this be hypocrites;
How in my words soever she be shent,
To give them seals never, my soul, consent!

(Hamlet, the mild cigar Act 3, Scene 2.)

No relevance; just wanted to say hi.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

You obviously do not understand the real meaning and significance of the message. It means, you did not take the proper amount of time to fix yourself a drink, and enjoy it. So, in the future, if you get that message, take a break, pour yourself a drink, and enjoy. If you do that properly, there will be a new post by the time you check back.
