Bloody hell Void, sounds terrifying. I didn't even know NZ had earthquakes.
The news here said no one was injured. I'm glad you're OK.
Hope your building holds up. Sorry to hear about the Mexican restaurant. There isn't one decent one in this city.Mexicans are pretty thin on the ground in Adelaide,as one would think would also be the case in NZ.

Void I am glad you are alright my friend. When I was like 16 I got to witness a tornado at full force ripping down power lines and tearing up older houses in Puerto Rico. It's always amazing to see the fury of nature from time to time and not dying is always a plus. If there were any churches that were destroyed in your country then that to me is not a loss. I am of the opinion that churches are a waste of space, I would rather see a supermarket any day instead of a church.
If Christians knew how fucking stupid they look when they are standing in praise with their hands raised to the heavens singing to the Lord, I pity them most of the time. Americans don't know shit about the first amendment, like everything else the Constitution here is just a worthless piece of paper.

This makes me glad to live in a country when the devastation left by earthquakes consists of a few loose tiles.
'We must respect the other fellow's religion, but only in the sense and to the extent that we respect his theory that his wife is beautiful and his children smart.' H.L. Mencken
'False religion' is the ultimate tautology.
'It is just like man's vanity and impertinence to call an animal dumb because it is dumb to his dull perceptions.' Mark Twain
'I care not much for a man's religion whose dog and cat are not the better for it.' Abraham Lincoln

There are more earthquakes here in the UK than anywhere else in the world. Luckily for us, they're either so mild they're not even noticed or they're at worst a bit annoying.
