The union representing Los Angeles Police Department officers has lashed out at LAPD Chief Charlie Beck for comments suggesting that the police slaying of an unarmed man during a scuffle in Venice Beach was unjustified.

They really do think they can kill anyone they want whenever they want to and no one can ever question their motives.

I'm just grateful that this time the assault wasn't carried out while on duty or in uniform.  This proves you can no longer surprise me.  Cops will always do even worse than you can imagine.

How can you even do that? If I was a cop, and I got a threat like that, I'd be arresting the guy who threatened me. And this was a threat towards everyone under this asshole. I'd tell my buddies let's go get a warrant, and play SWAT at his house.
