How I picture the LHC:
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:

All versions of "nss enterprise", in fact all major starfleet vessels are in dulux "off white semi gloss!".
Most of the large ships from that "other alternate universe" too. Do we become boring lifeless robots in the future or something? The "jetsons" is more realistic, me thinks.

i am talking about how big a circular object 9 km across would appear from the height of low earth orbit if it weren't mainly subterranean.
