Stimbo-

I don't normally respond to your posts (though you did ask one decent question I was eager to answer), but I feel your post here deserves a reply.

Way to make our point, Randy.

I didn't say "most memorable Christian", Randy; I said douche.  As in Douchebag... nozzle... drain, what have you.  And you don't even come remotely close to being the most memorable Catholic on this forum, let alone the most memorable Christian.

Quote:You have home court advantage, I'm heavily out-numbered, and the refs have all been paid off. But I'm still here - trading baskets and looking for an upset win.

Most Christians would have shaken the dust from their feet a looooooong time ago.

You obviously don't read the rest of the forum.

Did something in your post change?

Why? Is it showing up differently on your screen? Apart from your emboldening the last word without saying that you did it.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

That was the most intelligent thing I've seen you say on here.

No, I bolded that because I didn't understand why you said, "Want to try responding to it now?"

I thought maybe you were saying that I had posted at the same time you were in the middle of an edit.

Apparently not.

But you didn't respond to it. You simply acknowledged it and made a silly guess about me. I said the parable warns against throwing your life away on empty promises. You're going to stand for that?

Incidentally, if you're going to make any alterations to someone's post, you have to make it clear with something along the lines of "(bolding mine)".

I will stand by what the parable actually says:

When you see something of great value, it is wise to sell all that you have in order to buy it.

45 “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls,46 who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it.

Guy sells his entire flock, farm, and the rest of his belongings. Guy buys a pearl. Guy...has a pearl. Guy starves to death.

Eh, I like the way Tolkien said it better.
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:

"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay."

For context, this is the previous verse:

"Hi Jesus" -robvalue

Alright, let's test that. You show me this kingdom that is worth discarding one's whole life to buy. If I consider the transaction worthwhile, you have yourself a customer. I can't say fairer than that.
