Yes evil very well is a separate thing. It is indeed the unspeakable for mere speech or even thought of such is enough to derail this frail balance. Diseases, cancers natural disasters things seemingly out of our control can be linked to evil, bad, negative, or chaos, anarchy, indifference, the actual waste of energy. Even mathematics the true science is intricately enveloped in true philosophy. Positive+ Positive= positive.
negative+ negative= negative
=positive+ =negative= fucking nothing the absence there of.
Positive+ >negative= positive.

So forth and so on.

So all you can judge it on is his "actions" which are shit.

You know, something I just thought of: what if humans are just part of God's greater good, and not the end result? Rather than God trying to make the best possible world for us that happens to include suffering, maybe he's trying to make the best possible universe, and humans that suffer helps that out.

I mean, I've heard Christians say before that you can't have good without evil, light without dark, happiness without suffering, etc. Maybe humans that suffer, and humans that go to hell exist solely so God can be happier in heaven! It's logically consistent with most apologetics concerning the problem of evil and similar topics.

And how do you know he's telling the truth? How do you know you can trust God or trust the Bible?

There is no assumption. It states that he loves us. That he is merciful, and just. Why would he be these ways if he didn't care. Of course it isn't our plan most are oblivious to it. It is however best for us to observe that the creator of all good in the Universe has the best intentions for us.

The truth removes all question, doubt, and, regret from the equation as opposed to feeling, causing, witnessing pain or suffering, doubt, remorse, guilt which is caused by and exists because of other forces altogether.

How can one be just and merciful, when mercy is the suspension of justice?

No one can without stepping on a whole row of those no matter how justified someone is there is always someone on the receiving end.
Paul of the bible said god is not just and all good, and he is right considering he pointed out there is no free will and we are either created to go to heaven or hell.
He points out that the out decision was made even before creation and that even with getting "saved" by jesus it still wouldn't matter we still end up in hell.

He is merciful in that you can be forgiven. He is just in that those who repeatedly sin after knowing better without regard will have to pay for there sins one way or another. Not all sin equates to not returning to everything good necessarily.
