Aliens (extra-terrestrials)?

I think such claims are generally a sign of serious mental problems.

Serious is a relative term.   There are 2.3 billion Christians in the world whose mental problems are such that they would believe in a entity who had to fuck his own mother to give himself birth, yet has the power to end the universe, but would come and make things peachy for them for ever regardless,  if only they would renounce all the benefits conferred by human progress made since the Iron Age in understanding the world they live in.   By comparison just how serious can the mental problem possibly to disbelieve that, but merely believe aliens visited, abducted them, experimented on them, but left them with hardly any lasting effect?

There is a difference between believing someone's silly story and having a delusion of something happening to you.  If you want a fair comparison, it would be to people who believe that they can literally hear the voice of god, and have visions of him, and other such things.  That is what compares with believing that one has been abducted by aliens.

Like everyone else, I think the probability of alien life existing is very high. I think the odds of sentient alien life existing is lower, but still probable. But, probability isn't proof.

I wondered how many of us here refuse to accept the indisputable truth that "where's one, there's more". Fortunately for me, I'm not one of those who deny the existence of extra-terrestrials but I'm curious to see your point of view.
I'll explain my view on that a little later cuz right now I can barely keep my eyes open - I drank all night.

I'm not very familiar with much indisputable truth.  But I also would be very surprised if life and sentient life was not widespread across the universe.

i can say confidently there is other alien life out there and even other races older than ours. They more than likely at one point or another they probably
stumbled onto our radio and television signals so who knows. Considering looking at the evidence at it now we could have stumbled onto first contact with another

Almost certainly alien life out there somewhere, still a few candidates in this solar system (Mars, Europa, Titan) whether there's intelligent life or if anyone's figured out how to traverse interstellar space is another question.
