"putting time in perspective," and some fun facts!

RE: "putting time in perspective," and some fun facts!
Our native Australian aborigines who have lived in Australia for many tens of thousands of years, long before even the ancient egyptians were around have had there own religious philosophy.
Completely incompatible with the modern easily digestible " fast food" religions.

Was god not interested in revealing himself to them so long ago.
They have no sacred texts.
Funny how it took the British 50,000 years later to show them the one "true" religion!
No God, No fear.
Know God, Know fear.

50,000 years? Christianity has only been around for 2000 years.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

That was his point, I believe.
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:

"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay."

For context, this is the previous verse:

"Hi Jesus" -robvalue

Hm... I guess I don't really understand what he's saying.

You know, since there are so many of us and just one of you, wouldn't this be just a whole lot easier if you simply adopted our views altogether?

Oh alright I'll read it. (Looking forward to it really, just need to finish the bathroom remodel and stop taking these non-wife sanctioned breaks.

I am not a creationist so I don't believe in the apple eating bit lol... but I wouldn't say He "wasn't around" 50,000 years ago. Perhaps He was. Or perhaps He waited until civilization/humanity was a little more "advanced" before beginning to make His existence known.

It's more a chart than reading material, so you'll get through it a lot quicker this time. Wink

Thanks for reading, let me know if you found it interesting!

It would be interesting to know.

Man, I'll have to get back to you on that. It's been a while. Also I should have said "one of the factors", but if I remember correctly, this set everything in motion.

I wanted to know more about my religion (being an American Christian, naturally I knew close to nothing about it, besides the neat and tidy bits).
I've always had a healthy curiosity for history and prehistory, so I took the basic facts you can glean from the bible: It's a book, it contains writing, it contains an origin story, it contains a god. I matched those facts against the timeline in which those things were invented and found these things have been around for a looong time prior. Which means there are thousands of years worth of anatomically modern humans burning in hell, if you're one to believe that sort of thing. At the time, this was a revelation of sorts, partly due to my own compartmentalizing, and partly due to me being told the bible was a true account of our origin.
