So, got any evidence for "jesus" yet...or are you going to piss and moan for half a century and then die before presenting it..as is customary?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Your work as a NT scholar is apparently unknown to Ehrman who states:
“Few of these mythicists are actually scholars trained in ancient history, religion, biblical studies or any cognate field, let alone in the ancient languages generally thought to matter for those who want to say something with any degree of authority about a Jewish teacher who (allegedly) lived in first-century Palestine. There are a couple of exceptions: of the hundreds — thousands? — of mythicists, two (to my knowledge) actually have Ph.D. credentials in relevant fields of study. But even taking these into account, there is not a single mythicist who teaches New Testament or Early Christianity or even Classics at any accredited institution of higher learning in the Western world. And it is no wonder why. These views are so extreme and so unconvincing to 99.99 percent of the real experts that anyone holding them is as likely to get a teaching job in an established department of religion as a six-day creationist is likely to land on in a bona fide department of biology.” (Quoted in an article published by the Huffington Post)
Poor widdle, Randy. So insecure. Put a couple of letters after your name and he'll follow you anywhere.
Listen fuckface. I reserve the right to evaluate the evidence. I get that you have no such inclination because you have found a bunch of fools who tell you what you want to hear.
It must be terrible to go through life groveling to the non-existent but I still want to see evidence that is not derived from the fervent imaginations of early xtian asswipes.
Get it now?
(Probably not. Your kind never does.)
So, in other words, you have no professional training, no expertise, no qualifications whatsoever. You're just a bitter, lapsed Catholic.
I'll break Ehrman's quote down into a smaller chunk so you can read it more easily:

Your evidence for jesus is a logical fallacy committed by someone other than yourself? There's alot in that quote though, that flew over Ehrmans head even as he penned it. If a teaching job in a dept of religion catering to the christers or the periphery of the christers -were- open to mythicists, as it is for teachers of greek religion (all of which are "mythicists")..then there just -might- be a few more mythicist professors..........Since it isn't, there aren't...but what this has to do with whether or not any "jesus" ever existed is, apparently, beyond either you or Ehrman to describe.

I'm supposed to be able to tell whether or not you're joking...I think, but I can't. In any case, was there some reason you quoted me before dropping that turd?

Apparently, you have not bothered to actually read the evidence presented in the thread.
I posted five points which are accepted as TRUE by the majority of NT scholars...not Christian NT scholars, but ALL NT scholars - believers and non-believers alike.
Contrary to your false assertion, the minimal facts have not been impeached.
Quote:But why go about this so. You talk to jesus evey day don't you? Ask him to log on and answer our questions in person...
Oh wait.. I forgot.. you only talk to yourself and jesus is imaginary..
Let's suppose for a moment that Jesus really did log on and post a response to you.
What are the odds that you would actually believe that it was Him?
Zero.
But why don't YOU talk to Jesus every day and see what happens? He can answer YOUR questions in person...
Zero? Really? He must not be very powerful, then. If your hypothetical Jesus was god, he'd know what it would take to convince me.

No, Randy does actually believe that denying Randy truth is the equivalent of denying the Shoah. It's a favourite Randy argument.
The gods did not reveal, from the beginning, All things to us, but in the course of time Through seeking we may learn and know things better.
These things are, we conjecture, like the truth.
But as for certain truth, no man has known it, Nor shall he know it, neither of the gods Nor yet of all the things of which I speak. And even if by chance he were to utter The final truth, he would himself not know it: For all is but a woven web of guesses.

And for anyone to whom both evidence and the past matter, a dispassionate consideration of the case makes it quite plain: Jesus did exist. He may not have been the Jesus that you mother believes in or the Jesus of the stain-glass window or the Jesus of your least favorite televangelist or the Jesus proclaimed by the Vatican, the Southern Baptist Convention, the local megachurch, or the California Gnostic. But he did exist, and we can say a few things with relative certainty about him.” (Ehrman, Bart, Did Jesus Exist?, 5-6.)

I don't know anything about Cleopatra.
Cleopatra was a bastard head.
Just so you know, there's an open challenge to any theist to tell me what four figure number I'm thinking of (it's between 1000 and 9999, no tricks). Just ask God/Jesus/Allah/whatever/whateverist. Surely he would tell you what I'm thinking. Considering most theists here write hundreds of pages about how God obviously exists, it wouldn't hurt to do four key strokes to provide some actual evidence. No, it wouldn't be absolute proof, but it would be a start to showing it's not just your imagination. Anyone up for the challenge? Come on God. Just tell someone, anyone. Four figures. How hard can it be?
Either
-God doesn't know
-God knows but won't tell you (what a dick)
-God told you but you won't tell us (you don't want us to believe)
