That is the case for most average people. I love where I am, but if something drags me somewhere else, I just plan well in advance. I was a cook for ten years and only made a lot of money in the last three years of my career. I blew through that when I was sick and out of work for nearly a year. After that, I started writing for pennies and now dollars. Long story short, I have still managed to go to Canada, Mexico, Jamaica and quite a few of the United States. I made a trip across the entire country at one point. If you do not mind being dead broke after you splurge, it is worth it. Granted, Mexico and Jamaica were a gift, but I did the rest on my own, very stretched out, dime.
