RE: "The Lord has redeemed all of us, all of us..." should we be grateful?

The "I respect your opinion" comments seem like code for "fuck you, I am not going to bother addressing the issues you bring up." Regardless of whether that is the intention or not, it is a substitute for dealing with any issues that are raised in the post to which it is given as a response. Frankly, I would rather have a post ignored completely than to be treated with such condescension.
Whether other people are satisfied by such responses or not is for them to decide for themselves.
That said, there are some unnecessary and irrelevant comments that have been directed at her that are rather unpleasant. Not everyone plays nice. Of course, not everyone agrees on what that even means, so I am sure that there is some disagreement about those to whom such thoughts might be most appropriately directed.
