You don't get that apart from being an intrusion into personal space it's also a fundamental waste of money and resources? Reading your post prompted a couple of thoughts. First, it is searching without probable cause. Whatever happened to the Fourth Amendment?
Second, let us imagine, contrary to actual fact, that doing this did find drug users. What would we do with those caught, put them in prison? Is anyone stupid enough to believe that that would save money?
So it seems to me that this drug testing is a horrible waste of money. I am no lawyer, but on its face, it even seems unconstitutional. But regardless of that, it is a waste of money, and would even be an even greater waste of money if we found and then incarcerated people who were found to be using illegal drugs.
