Companies regularly require employees to submit to random drug tests or be fired. The reason Arizona's drug testing is ineffective and unfair is that they require suspicion of drug use prior to ordering a test. How do you come up with that suspicion? Do you follow them around for awhile? The law should be amended to require random drug testing for all adult welfare recipients. When a person is called for a drug test, they do it and it's over. I've been through a number of them myself. That's the way it is these days.
Lek, did you read the fucking article? It's monstrously expensive and ineffective, but you want it to be expanded? Why, so that the ones who do fail are given a criminal record, effectively destroying their chances of ever finding employment?
What a backward way of thinking. "The thing isn't working! We must do it HARDER!"
Any idiot knows that the only way to have an effective drug testing program is to make it random. No wonder it doesn't work. You're answer is to let people use taxpayer money to fund the illegal drug business and to destroy families. How about the costs incurred from drug use and the subsequent effect on children? And it's not monstrously expensive. If civilian companies didn't feel it was worthwhile financially, they wouldn't have drug testing programs.
