You know, reading all these stories I actually get the impression of our cops being saints. Yes, there's the occasional abuse against the usual suspects - the same ones as in the States. Blacks and other minorities. Once in a blue moon an unarmed person is riddled with shots, but that's about it.
I can't post any links to other incidents where the polar opposite to the States happened, since these are local news. But not long ago, some drunk aimed a weapon at a motorcycle cop and tried to douse him in gasoline. Nothing happened. The guy was subdued and transfered to a mental institution. As was the man attacking his wife with a sword after having 17 beers only yesterday. Or the schizophrenic, armed with a Samurai sword kicking down an aprtment door.
