NO! It's not remotely like that. This isn't about deliberately leaving kids or pets to die in hot cars. It's about inattention causing death. Abandoning pets, like exposing children as a method of birth control, is a deliberate act and therefore quite different.
If there is a god, I want to believe that there is a god. If there is not a god, I want to believe that there is no god.
