If you're happy with what you have now, I can think of only two reasons -
1. It's a free upgrade now, but not after a year.
2. Windows 7 mainstream support ended in January of this year.
There's supposedly performance increases over 7. If so, they're imperceptible.
1. That's why I'm getting the upgrade now, even if I won't be installing it now.
2. And yet, I'm still getting win 7 updates.
The single biggest performance increases I have ever seen were all hardware related. Especially since M$ has a tendency to hang on to dead, unused code.
