I clicked the 'show content' button... and my brain exploded
I hold open the door for anyone if I make it to the door first. Some women have mistaken that as sexist chivalry before... and some have praised me for it, and some have glared at me for it. Most annoying is when I hold the door open for a man... usually receiving a questioning look or a glare :S Do many people just not accept gratuitousness? :S
Women are like fish? Slimy, dirty, catch em by the dozens in an hour? ^_^
Probably true. Not so significant though... I find it really funny that some gay people are obsessed with having to have been born as such. We are first born, then modified over time. Maybe I wasn't born a woman, maybe I wasn't even a woman 15 years ago... but I am one now, and that is what matters.
Not all women are man-hating bitches. I know a number who are just outright bitches, but not so many that are so because they hate men. I had a very feministic teacher in 6th grade... and that's the only source of feminism I was knowingly exposed to in what I remember of my childhood.
Unlike other women, my gender is a hard won realization, and a thing which I suffer being detracted from every day that I have to interact with anyone. It never coming up is fine... but do you have any idea how obsessed people are with using 'he' and 'she'? As damaging as it is to stick gender into everything... it's much more depressing to have your gender ignored and then mistaken on a daily basis.
The KKK actually doesn't. They are kind of like feminists.
So she's not entitled to her opinion?
It may be stupid, misinformed, and utterly incapable of creating an intelligent argument... but it can still do whatever it wants. We may react to it if she's bad enough, but no reason she can't do it, I hope.
And most societies have rules against murder. You might notice that people still murder in these societies?
You can paint them all with the same brush, and then they will all be colored the same. No variety. Boring. I like painting things in colors that please me, or at least match within some reasonable measure (ie: orange, yellow, and red). Much less boring that way.
I have seen ghosts and demons aplenty. But then again... I play lots of video games, and spend an absurd amount of time with my imagination.
I have yet to understand why a bigot would be banned for expressing their opinion. Sure, people in power have more important opinions... but their opinions are the same stock as those who have next to no power.

Quote:I remember the first time I saw the slogan "A woman without a man is like a fish without a bicycle", I knew knew my face had just been spit in. Men were not just useless to women, we were irrelevant. We had no purpose in a woman's life, and did not belong in her world at all. It was a message of hate, dismissal, and refutation. But, I also saw it as a warning of what was to come. It was like seeing clouds on the horizon, and knowing that it is time to get under cover because a storm is brewing. And, since it was obviously smearing shit in my face, it was going to be a shit storm.

Quote:I will not allow most women in my house unless I have known her a long time and she is old enough to have escaped being infected with the plague of man hating or is escorted by someone I trust, nor will I enter theirs except on the same conditions. If I pass a woman stranded on the road, I will not stop to help her because it is as likely as not that she will be afraid of me. That's fine. She's a fish without a bicycle - I have no place in her world, nor her in mine.

Quote:Invariably, when I tell a woman about all this, she tries to argue with me and say something like "get over it", or "why don't you take the gender out of it?" In return I ask, "why the hell don't you women get over it, and take the gender out of it?"

Too late! I already did.
Yeah, I heard there are good ones out there. However I also heard there are ghosts and demons out there.
Personally, I have never seen either.

Please give me a home where cloud buffalo roam
Where the dear and the strangers can play
Where sometimes is heard a discouraging word
But the skies are not stormy all day
