The worst candy ever

Say, going serious for a second, does anyone remember a candy from the 60s that was 'similar' to Lifesavers, but were made without the hole (I think they were thicker in the center, actually) and the flavors were more sour or tart than Lifesavers were?

They were packaged in a similar roll form to Lifesavers too.

Damned if I can recall a name for the product.

I used to get something like that called Reed's for the root beer flavor.  That the one?
