as I mentioned in a post above, the world does not end. Ever.
The planet will not end. Air will not give out.

I think it is transition time into the Tribulation that Jesus spoke of.
"Tribulation" comes from the word "Tribulum", an ancient tool to beat the chaff off grain.
Other translations call it the time of "Testing" or "Trial" that is coming on the whole world to test them.
