Government is the supernatural deity to which most, even atheist, pray homage too. They also believe government to be something other then humans with a monopoly on violence, extortion and coercion. Government in the eyes of it's religious followers has rights to do things mere humans could never do on their own. For if I were to come to your house and demand money for my good idea with a gun or else I'd steal some of your stuff you would look at me like a nut, but if government did this via taxation and police you would see it as righteous an noble when in reality it was just theft and forcible confiscation. You have to be really indoctrinated through prussian public schooling systems to have any belief in the legitimacy to government and anyone who rationally looks at it for what it is, an erroneous, dogmatic, belief system based on religious principles and rituals, will give up these faith based beliefs.
