Having a belief in the origin of matter doesn't do jack shit.On the contrary you do know where matter comes from, or you should know. Think about it. Matter comes from stars, which were originally just giant balls of hydrogen atoms that clumped together and went nuclear. Over time the star cooks up all of the other elements. All of the celestial bodies such as planets and asteroids come from the elements that the stars made from hydrogen atoms. There's no mystery about the process.
In our life times we may never know the origin of matter. From a personal standpoint, is it really that big of a fucking deal? If believing made it so, then I'd believe in a shit ton of things.
A better question might be where does the hydrogen come from? The answer is that it comes from quantum foam but it takes a lot of evolutionary processes for the hydrogen to actually form. It just doesn't pop into existence as a hydrogen atom.
If you lived long enough you would see hydrogen forming stars in the giant voids.
