You know, it has much to do with what I despise most in real life. Ignorant arrogance. I can deal with stupid, no problem and no hard feelings. But if someone stays willfully ignorant and at the same time assumes to ride the high horse, it gets to me.
I'm there with you abaris. I'm baffled to the strict convictions and rigid closed mindedness I've found with some. I have my beliefs and I hold firm to them and I give reasons why and I listen to counter perspectives because I've found that increases my knowledge and understanding instead of hindering it. But to stoop to insults just shows your logical defense methods are extremely lax. Reminds me of the old saying, "when you fling mud at others, not only do your hands get dirty but you lose a lot of ground as well."
We are not made happy by what we acquire but by what we appreciate.
