Also, I keep reading things about how you (Catholic Lady) are uncomfortable with a Christian Symbol for hate and evil being borrowed and used as a mascot because it seems to be a clear act of hostility toward all Christians.
Two things:
First, yes, it's an act of hostility against all Christians. It's supposed to be because it's intended to highlight to Christians how hostile it feels to others to be bombarded with Christian symbols and messages constantly.
Second, Satan is not a Christian symbol. They borrowed him from the Jews, who borrowed him from the Zoroastrians. The Zoroastrians probably borrowed him from someone else.
