Wow. I actually feel somewhat as if my faith in humanity has been restored by the reconsidering of C_L's position.
I personally have no stake in the Satanists monument. I find the placement of the 10C monuments deeply offensive as their stated purpose is often, "this is a christian nation and this monument pays homage to that." It is implicitly a statement that my views as a non-xtian are lesser, and that my place is lesser. Read some of the comments by Oklahoma legislators defending this thing if you don't believe me, or some comments by regular citizens of the state (ignoring, for the longest time, that the litigant in the lawsuit that got it taken down was a minister). The monument was coming down anyway, so the actions of the temple have little bearing on it.
However as an act to show the insensitivity of these religious monuments on public grounds as say well done.
