This is ridiculous.

Quick question: is it a state funded hospital or a private one? If it's state funded, then I don't see how it could also be "Catholic" and make decisions on a religious basis.

Even if it's a private one, it's stupid. Would they allow Satanist hospitals who did rituals to ask the dark lord's favour before each operation?

They are private but receive significant funding from the state. The ones in my post receive millions (if not billions) yearly through the government funded programs of Medicare and Medicaid. Without these funds their continued existence would be doubtful.

This is bullshit then. If it's state funded, even partially, it should have no religious bias.
