Some people suggest that Islam is more likely to produce people with Radical Ideas who wish to oppress. I say the Christian religion is just as likely.
So how many idiot voters would vote for a muslim like Ahmadinejad, Khamenei, Louis Farrakhan, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, the king of Saudi Arabia, Major Nidal, a guy like Recep Tayyip Erdogan?
Would you eagerly support a Salafi, Sunni, or Shia muslim? Hell would freeze over before the power structure ever allowed a muslim to become POTUS. And you can bet none of the politicians pissing on Carson for saying what he said would ever support a muslim to become POTUS.
