Yes, the asshole walked away with minor injuries.
The other family lost four people, and all of three children (grandchildren).
this happened at 4pm on a quiet country road.
Sounds like the grandparents took the grandkids out for a Sunday afternoon drive.
And, knowing our Ontario laws, he'll get a comparative slap on the wrist for the lives he's taken.
I realize stuff like this happens everywhere, everyday.
I just thought this was a particularly tragic case,
and I put up the GFM link in case anyone feels they are able to contribute to this family's funeral costs
and other costs,
while, of course, nothing can compensate them for their staggering loss.
All the kids gone, in one swoop, and the grampa,
with the grandmother and great-grandmother seriously injured in the hospital,
imagine their agony when they learned of the deaths.
and the poor mother and father of the deceased children.
This story truly upset me, and left me raging with anger.
How I wish the drunk's punishment was left to me. How I wish it.
