What, you didn't go to Westboro Baptist church? Or you haven't heard of Papal 1995, the Pontifical Council for the Family saying that "parents must also reject the promotion of so-called "safe sex" or "safer sex", a dangerous and immoral policy based on the deluded theory that the condom can provide adequate protection against AIDS."
Or Chatolic banning vaccination against HPV that despite studies showing no apparent increase in sexual activity following HPV vaccination, Focus on the Family, a conservative American religious organization, favored abstinence over vaccination: The seriousness of HPV and other STIs underscores the significance of God’s design for sexuality to human wellbeing. Thus Focus on the Family affirms—above any available health intervention—abstinence until marriage as the best and primary practice in preventing HPV and other STIs.
Catholic Church has been one of the biggest opponents of mandatory HPV vaccination. Catholic bishop of Calgary, Fred Henry, publicly opposed endorsement of the vaccine by Catholic school boards in Canada—schools funded by the government—because it would “undermine the schools’ effort to teach children about abstinence and chastity in accord with the teachings of the Catholic Church.” Pressure from the Catholic Church has also halted the administration of anti-HPV vaccines in Trinidad and Tobago, with the church going so far as to question, in the face of all scientific fact, the safety of the vaccine.
And also you can do a little experiment yourself. Go to any Chatolic church and into confession room and say "Father I have sinned I live with a woman with whome I'm not married and have wild monkey sex six times a day, in fact just as I finish this confession I'm going pronto home where she is waiting for me to have sex for the next three hours." He will be angry at you and not even give you absolution, but tell you first to stop this heathen realtionship and then come back to hear how much hail maries and our fathers you need to pray.
Then go to next Chatolic church and into confession room and say "Father I have sinned. I am married and have 1 child and me and my wife have sex five times a day and every time with condoms. In fact I just bought condoms and after I'm finished here I'll go and spend three condoms on her vagina." You'll get the sam shtick from that "father".
Of course! That defines the totality of the Christian experience. Stupid me, what was I thinking?
Oh, yeah, I was thinking about how they actually are, and not the stereotypes I once cherished.
You might want to try that out.
