The evidence of "the I"?
#11
RE: The evidence of "the I"?
Hmmm.

The stress here is on the word THE.

I believe I exist, but I do not believe THE "I" exists.

So what I mean is, when I refer to "I", I do not believe that I am reffering to a constant "me" that is solid but that which constantly morphs and changes.

Your personality changes all the time with every thought I think - just most of the time it changes so little that its basically completely the same practically, but if you are aware of your thoughts almost all the time you will I think become more sensitive to how much the "you" is morphing. One minute you'll think one thing, one minute the next. Which is the real you? What part of "you" is the personality? The "you"?

"You" will have to decide what thought to follow. But this "You" is just another thought in the moment like all the others.

I think its just some are more dominant.

Personality changes over time, I think its all the time though - however slight. So while I exist, THE "I" (stress is on the) I do not believe does exist. Because as soon as we've related to it it's already gone and another "I" or dominent thought has took over. It is simply similar enough so it is considered that you have the same personality I think; - even if really your personality has actually changed somewhat even ; if only 0.0.111111111111111111111111111111111111111111% reccuring on and on for example.

I do not believe the personality is solid. So there is no THE "I", ONE I, I think. Because this I has already gone as soon as its been put forward and been replaced with an almost completely identical twin, or just something similar, for example.
