Faith healing is one of the most frustrating and sickening aspects of religious belief. The practice is dangerously reckless, tragic, and downright criminal much of the time. I happen to tolerate religious stupidity quite well, but I'm forced to speak up when I hear about ridiculous parents substituting faith-healing and/or prayer for legitimate medical treatment.
Even as a believer, I was deeply troubled by the faith-healings performed at my church. The irony of the church being located across the street from a hospital was never lost on me.
Let's not forget the 'faith healer" who bilked millions out of people, and likely ruined hundreds of lives with his "healing" who rushed himself to hospital when he had heart problems.

Why not heal himself? That's faith for you...
