How is Islam dying out when there are 1.57 billion followers?
That is the problem with all religions. I am educated enough to know that the disagreements have brought divisions among the Christian communities. The disagreements have also brought division among Muslims. Then the Muslims and Christians fight among each other. Then other belief systems also get pulled into this crap as well as the atheists regardless of beliefs or non-beliefs. Most wars are based on religious beliefs and the disagreements. Religion gets all screwed up because humans are involved in them.

Islam is in it's inquisition phase right now (where Christianity was in the late Middle Ages/early Modern period). In the same way Christianity did, Islam is committing so many horrors that it will eventually burn itself out, shooting itself in the foot by turning it's own followers against it. There is a growing secular movement in the Middle East, it's getting louder and louder, it's just a matter of time. I think Iran will be one of the first Islamic regimes to collapse looking at the young Iranian people today, they're completely fucking done with Islamism for the most part and despise the mullahs (who are an elderly, dying breed).
For now though, it's not going anywhere, and what's slowing it down is how cuddly the political left in the West are with their views of "respect Islam at any cost". This lot are so scared of being called racist by criticising Islam, that they are actually really being racist by denying human rights to brown people who are being trampled by this religion. A good gay friend of mine (who is Muslim) is one such person and the political left in the Western world (who would defend him if Islam wasn't involved) is betraying him.
