You absolutely can be, Blondie. We have a habit of associating our proficiency in one area with general proficiency. However, you might be a brilliant biologist, for example.....but a poor critical thinker.
Reading your comments, and as others have already mentioned - you don't seem to have any objections to evolutionary theory. You think you do...because you've been told that you do by a person or institution you respect. Your knowledge of biology, your proficiency in this (or other areas in your life) isn't what failed you, in this instance.
